Introducing Agena
Introducing Agena (App Store), a simple Geminispace browser built for iPhone and named after the Agena target vehicle (wikipedia). This app is built using SwiftUI to explicitly specifically target the iOS ecosystem as I wanted a more "native iPhone" client to browse Geminispace on-the-go.

Compared to existing Gemini clients available on iOS, Agena aims to have a smaller storage footprint and cleaner user interface while implementing all of the features of the Gemini protocol.
As far as I can tell, there are only two other iOS Gemini browsers, namely: deedum (App Store) and Lagrange Smallnet Browser (App Store) which is also available for desktop. As a point of comparison, consider the following table:
| App | Size (per App Store) |
|---|---|
| Agena | 881.7 KB |
| deedum | 49.1 MB |
| Lagrange Smallnet Browser | 17 MB |
At ~5% of the size of Lagrange and ~1.8% of the size of deedum, Agena manages to offer first-class support for tabs, bookmarks, and client identities, and server TLS management, while (in my subjective opinion), looking the best:
If you are interested, please give it a try! It's completely free and has absolutely no data collection. More information and links can be found at https://agena.echo.ls.
